Survey: How Campuses Are Solving Delivery Challenges in 2026
Hundreds of packages and other deliveries reach college and university students every day, and campus teams are absorbing that volume with the staff and square footage they already have. In a recent Spaces4Learning survey of the higher education teams responsible for campus deliveries, 52% named “not enough staff” as their primary package distribution challenge, and 38% pointed to a lack of available mailroom or other physical space and storage.
Our executive summary, “How to Meet Every Campus Delivery Challenge,” produced by Spaces4Learning and sponsored by Parcel Pending by Quadient, reports what those teams said about moving deliveries across campus, including:
- How many student deliveries campuses process each day
- How packages and resources reach students and staff today
- The distribution challenges campuses run into most often
- What influences a campus to install smart lockers, and where cost lands
- Which eight departments would benefit from a smart locker system
- What to look for when evaluating a campus delivery solution
