Marek Rozycki – Managing Partner, Last Mile Experts

Seasoned consultant, board advisor, and entrepreneurial ex-regional VP with multicultural experience, a last mile e-commerce, and CEP (courier, express & parcel) background.

He has operated in various industries and geographic markets with a proven track record of success. Key focus over the last 30 years has been with last mile/courier express and parcel,  managing a region of 14 business units spreading from the Baltic States to the Balkans for the DPD Group. Up until April 2015, Marek has been Vice-President, Amazon Logistics EU reporting to the Worldwide Vice-President. Marek is the founder of Masterlink Express, now DPD Polska.

Marek is now Managing Partner at Last Mile Experts Ltd., one of the very few specialist courier express & parcel and e-commerce last mile consultancies. He has been industry advisor for several Private Equity Firms and advised a number of e-commerce players or Postal operators on strategic projects including InPost (integer), Europe’s largest locker operator, eMag (Sameday), Romania’s leading e-commerce player, and was an Independent Board Advisor to Trendyol Group, Turkey’s leading e-commerce player, Nova Poshta, Ukraine’s largest CEP player and now Bloq.it, Vinted’s core supplier of parcel lockers.

Marek is co-host of Last Mile Prophets, who offer “the last word on the last mile”.

Mike Richmond – Chief Commercial Officer, Doddle

Mike is Chief Commercial Officer at Doddle, a UK-based software company that works with some of the world’s leading posts and parcel carriers on their last mile and returns propositions. Mike’s particular area of interest/obsession is OOH, and how effective use of PUDO networks can improve the overall efficiency of e-commerce in the round.

Laurie Weston – General Manager of E-Commerce, Purolator

Laurie Weston is the General Manager of E-Commerce at Purolator. She builds Purolator’s strategic framework that enables the delivery of operational, sales, and financial solutions within the growing e-commerce market. Laurie also leads Purolator’s extensive retail network, collaborating with strategic partners (Best Buy, Michaels, PUDO, Swiftpost, and Staples) and leading a team of 600+ retail specialists at over 2,000 pick-up and drop-off locations across the country. These include the company’s growing network of 24/7 serve-service parcel lockers and kiosks.  

Laurie is passionate about driving innovation to deliver an exceptional experience for businesses and consumers across Canada to increase convenience and consumer access to shipping locations. Starting with Purolator as a Retail Representative, Laurie has since held various leadership positions with the organization. She has led multiple in-store and out-of-store projects, including, most recently, Purolator’s Urban Quick Stop – the first “mini-hub” and retail shipping location in downtown Toronto, Ont.  

Laurie’s team also launched Purolator’s first-of-its-kind Quick Stop Kiosk in Toronto – allowing customers to shop and ship all in one stop. A year after its launch, Quick Stop Kiosks had expanded to 50 locations across Canada. 

Gary Winter – VP, Strategic Initiatives at Quadient

Gary Winter is a parcels industry veteran with over 20 years’ experience in mail and e-commerce home delivery, including work for some of the key carriers (Royal Mail, Parcelforce, UK Mail) and major industry suppliers (Pitney Bowes, Unipart). 

Gary has held roles in product management, business development, and senior leadership as Sales & Marketing Director at Hermes. Prior to joining Quadient, Gary was Parcel Services Director and ran the Collect+ network of over 7,000 PUDO locations for PayPoint. His role at Quadient is to drive the parcel locker strategy worldwide and help grow its presence in the parcel locker market.
