<\/span>Quadient<\/span> (Euronext Paris: QDT), a leader in business solutions for meaningful customer connections through digital and <\/span>physical channels, announces the first contracts signed with international carriers to use its new smart parcel locker network <\/span>in the UK.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>Since the<\/span><\/span><\/span> announcement end of June<\/span><\/span><\/a> of the roll out of the large network of Parcel Pending by Quadient smart lockers available <\/span><\/span><\/span>to all carriers and retailers in the UK,<\/span><\/span> global parcel delivery expert<\/span><\/span> DPD UK confirmed<\/span><\/span><\/a> it was the first major partner committing <\/span><\/span><\/span>to utilize Quadient\u2019s network to add more choice and convenience for its customers with parcel locker delivery. Quadient\u2019s <\/span>ambition is to implement the solution at 500 locations by the end of 2022, and 5,000 locations in the coming years.<\/span><\/span> With the <\/span>technical integration with DPD UK complete, DPD customers will start using Parcel Pending by Quadient smart lockers in the <\/span>UK this month.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>Following on from this first partnership, a<\/span><\/span> second large international carrier has also committed to access Quadient\u2019s Parcel <\/span>Pending locker network. The signing of an additional carrier reinforces the strategic importance and attractiveness of a smart <\/span>locker network for the automation of last-mile delivery in the world\u2019s third largest e-commerce market. Quadient expects to <\/span>announce additional partnerships with carriers, as well as retailers, in the coming months.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
