Here\u2019s a primer on how to ship electronics safely and securely to your employees.<\/span><\/p>\n

The \u201cWhy\u201d Behind the Growth of Shipping Electronics<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Employers are shipping more <\/span>office technology<\/span> to employees for myriad reasons. With the current war for talent, employers are supplying employees with printers, headphones, and laptops in tandem with <\/span>innovative office technology<\/span><\/a> to gain a competitive edge. Shipping laptops that are fully loaded and ready to use from day one boosts employee loyalty and efficiency, as well as reduces technological downtime.<\/span><\/p>\n

Of course, with pre-installed software often comes tracking software. Apps such as ActivTrak, Time Doctor, Teramind, and Hubstaff all monitor employee time \u2013 from watching keystrokes to analyzing which programs employees are using. <\/span>Teramind reported a triple-digit percentage increase in new leads since the pandemic began<\/span>1<\/sup><\/span>. Hubstaff, too, has seen interest in its product skyrocket.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Need for Security & Insurance<\/strong><\/h2>\n

According to Gartner research, one <\/span>laptop<\/span> is stolen every 53 seconds<\/span>2<\/sup><\/span>. And nearly <\/span>41% <\/span>of all data breach events from 2005 through 2015 were caused by lost <\/span>electronics<\/span> such as laptops, tablets, and smartphones. Shipping Laptops Requires Extra TLC \u2013 Tender Labeling Care<\/strong><\/h2>\n

As employers have learned, electronics shipping, especially shipping laptops <\/span>and other <\/span>fragile electronics<\/span>, requires extra care. The most important thing to note is that many an <\/span>electronic device<\/span> contains a lithium-ion battery.
